The Wider Issue of AVST Affiliate’s ‘Fight Like Lions’ Banner

Affiliate View During the last home game against Swansea City, the Aston Villa supporter group and AVST affiliate, Brigada 1874 took down their ‘Fight Like Lions’ banner from the Holte End in protest at their treatment by the club. AVST Join Parliamentary Debate on Empowering Fans and Football Governance

At the start of July the AVST was invited  along with other club supporters trusts and groups to meet the Shadow Minister for Sport, Clive Efford MP at Parliament. Essentially it was a brainstorming session to access the changes needed to help increase supporter involvement in the governance of their clubs and to safeguard supporter interests in the club. Fans to March for ‘Affordable Football for All’ on 14th August 2014

The Football Supporter’ Federation have organised a football supporter march in London for ‘Affordable Football For All’ next Thursday the 14th August. Supporters will be gathering at Marble Arch (nearest tube station, unsurprisingly, Marble Arch on the Central Line) from 1pm before heading off to the Premier League and Football League offices at 30 Gloucester Place (W1U 8PL) at around 2:30pm.
