The Aston Villa Supporters Trust welcomes today’s appointment of Tom Fox as the new Chief Executive. He brings with him an impressive CV and we are pleased at the energy and know-how, that he will bring to the post.
The AVST will of course seek an early meeting with Mr Fox to discuss his plans for the club in the short and mid-terms.
We feel it is important that the club has stability in these uncertain times whilst the chairman continues his search for a potential buyer. This appointment and the recent acquisition of Colombian international Carlos Sanchez, gives supporters a feeling that it is “business as usual” at Villa Park, and that we are not paralysed or in limbo by our ownership situation.
We are sure that Mr Fox will assist the manager in further strengthening the playing squad between now and the end of the transfer window, and we would like to thank Robin Russell for his efforts as the interim CEO.
