AVST’s National Liaison Director David Michael will be attending the Football Supporters Federation (FSF) meeting in London on Tuesday April 15th, which acts to update members on FSF activity and progress prior to the AGM at the annual Supporters Summit, which this year is in London, at Wembley Stadium, on 26th July 2014.
If you’re in London and fancy tagging along, do get in touch with the AVST.
Date and venue: LONDON: Tues 15th April (6.30pm) – Doggett’s Coat & Badge, 1 Blackfriars Bridge, SE1 9UD
What’s the plan? FSF Chief Executive Kevin Miles will host events giving an overview of FSF work, paying particular attention to progress around Away Fans Matter and Twenty’s Plenty. There’ll be a chance to ask questions about FSF campaigns before we wrap things up after about 90 minutes (and catch any games on the box over a pint or two).
15th April is the 25th anniversary of the Hillsborough Disaster which gives real significance to the London date. This will be commemorated and we hope to have a guest who can give updates on the Hillsborough Inquest and explain how fans of clubs across the country can show their support. There will also be a collection for the Hillsborough Justice Campaign.
This event is open to FSF members and non-members alike, although there’s really no excuse for not being a member since it’s free to join the FSF here.
