AVST acknowledges the logic behind Thursday’s statement from the Club in respect of the resignation of Tom Fox. Ultimately, his key appointments have not worked out and all Chief Executives stand and fall based on the results on the pitch, as well as the decisions they make off it. Unfortunately, Villa’s (under Tom’s guidance) have not been good enough.
We would though like to thank Tom for his willingness to engage with the AVST on matters that are key to our supporters. We wish him well for the future.
We hope that the board’s full plan, part of which has been announced on Friday regarding the Football Board, is shared with supporters soon and ultimately proves to be the model that leads to far improved football results which is what we all really crave as a football club.
With the Championship now our inevitable destination, it is absolutely critical that we get things right to ensure we take our place at the top table again at the first time of asking.
