    Foundation Nominated for Award

    By Neil James | AVST News | Comments are Closed | 15 July, 2019 | 0

The Trust is delighted to announce that the Aston Villa Foundation has been nominated in the category of Charity of the Year in the forthcoming Midlands Business and Community Charity (MBCC) Awards event taking place at Villa Park on Saturday 16th November 2019. This is a fantastic achievement and well deserved, and reflects just how hard the Head of Foundation Guy Rippon and his team have worked to make the Foundation such a success. Upon hearing of the nomination Guy stated…..

“You will hopefully all be aware of the journey that the Foundation has been on over the last couple of years, with a staff team now of nearly 90 people delivering over 250 sessions each week to people aged 2-100 years old. One of our main objectives has been to create a Foundation and a programme of work by the club in the local community that Aston Villa Fans are proud of and we are very grateful of the support that we have received from you in raising awareness and support for our work.

There are a number of excellent charities that are also nominated, so we would encourage anyone voting to take a full look through those charities and make an objective decision. If you feel that the Foundation did deserve this award, we would be very appreciative of your support.”
