Optimism returns on the appointment of Paul Lambert

The Aston Villa Supporters Trust applauds the appointment of Paul Lambert as the Manager of our Football Club
 
After two traumatic seasons it is hoped that the appointment will stabilise the Club and bring about a more attractive, successful and entertaining football package.
 
There is much to be done and the Board are to be congratulated in securing their man, who has a good recent track record, with a minimum of fuss and who seems to be acceptable to the majority of the supporter base.
 
Financial investment, which we expect to be forthcoming, is needed to expand our squad  with some quality players and the supporters also need to play their part by rushing to sign up as season ticket holders and to give their support at Villa Park and at away matches when the new season gets under way.
 
As our Club motto says ‘Prepared’.
