    Trust Board Meeting

    By Mo Razzaq | Meetings | Comments are Closed | 26 September, 2021 | 0

Minutes from the Trust Board meeting held virtually on 28th July 2021.

Present: Peter Warrilow (PW), Mo Razzaq (MR), Stuart Paul (SP), John Taylor (JT), Neil James (NJ), Stephen Morley (SM), Karl Bowater (KB)

    Apologies – none

Minutes of last meeting – reviewed and updated

Finance – Current account still £10,596 but does not include any new memberships.

Website domain – admin responsibility – Still held by Simon Goodyear, who has been less than cooperative in the transfer. It was due to expire on Aug 3rd but PW has spoken to the TSO host and paid the invoice directly. With help from Satish who runs the website, now renewed up to March 2022.

PW feels he can longer negotiate with SG so has asked JT to take over the process of securing control of the website. Discussed admin of group email address.

Club Collect Membership System – MR now has an access user to Club Connect but this is not working. He has been in contact with Club Connect to solve the problem. Member joining process is too complex and cumbersome – MR to review.

Volunteers: membership and recruitment – NJ reported that the sub group he speaks to are still happy to support the Trust. Names discussed of possible candidates to Board and KB in support.

Discussion on perception by members on “what AVST does”.

Problem with no access to member communication system. PW wants to write to all members and issue a “rallying call” once we get access.

Community – Discussion of what we can do in the community. Possible sponsorship of local football team? Balls, Kit etc.

SM has contacts for kit. £600 to supply kit. Alternative option to bulk purchase T-shirts.

AV Foundation raised as a partner. Some reservations as no acknowledgment of donations given following fundraising.

Directors responsibilities – Spreading the workload – SP shared a previous meetings minutes (from 12 months ago – pre pandemic) to show what we used to do.
